Twisted Yarn has adorable crocheted dolls, very popular jungle tree stackers, and some very whimsical characters, including bees, dragons, mushroom guys, and bunnies.
These make great, unique Christmas gifts!
For this work, I chose Steampunk, which incorporates all kinds of unique items, including gears, keys, metal, watches, and so much more. I truly love creating this work, and I hope you do as well.

Marianne Urke is a member of the Peterborough Weavers and Spinners Guild and enjoys working with different art forms.
She creates fabric landscapes on canvas using free-motion sewing. Fabric pieces are carefully arranged, with yarn cording placed between the layers. The sky is painted to complete each landscape.
She also creates beautiful beaded earrings using Japanese Miyuki Delica glass beads, sewn together one bead at a time.

Silk’n Wilkin Originals
I’m on a creative journey exploring and creating with all things organic — silks, wool roving, threads, and more!
I love working with natural materials while combining different techniques such as Shibori dyeing, Nuno felting, and wool painting, along with free-motion stitching for added interest.
It’s always exciting to see what textures and designs I can coax from these materials! I find the joy is in the process — being uncertain of the outcome, taking a creative risk, and seeing what transpires.

I’ve always had a strong need to create, something I believe grew from being born single-handed and learning from an early age to find creative ways to do things.
My passion for natural skincare has led me to create handcrafted soaps, body creams, shampoo and conditioner bars, and other unique products using carefully chosen natural ingredients.
I love experimenting with different scents, botanicals, clays, and ingredients, often inspired by my travels around the world.
My studio is my creative space, where I enjoy turning simple ingredients into products that nourish the skin and bring a little joy to everyday life.
For me, creating these products is about natural beauty, creativity, and the simple joy of making something with my own hands — or, in my case, single-handed.
